Questions
Is Ava a real person?
No. Ava is an AI interviewer. Claude writes what she says, a speech service turns your voice into text, and a voice or video avatar service gives her a voice and a face.
Is my interview recorded?
Only if you choose to record it. The recording is made in your browser and stays on your device: you can play it back with its transcript and download it, and it's gone when you close the tab.
Which roles can I practise for?
Any role. For roles in Ava's knowledge base she uses curated skills and questions; for anything else she writes questions for the role. Paste a job description to tailor the interview further.
Do I need a camera or microphone?
Neither is required. You can answer out loud or by typing, and switch at any time. Your camera is optional and is only ever shown to you and drawn into your own recording.
How is the report scored?
Each skill for the role is scored from evidence in your answers, and unanswered questions score low. The report is AI-generated guidance to help you improve — it isn't a hiring decision.
What happens to what I say?
Your answers are sent to the AI and speech services only to run the interview and write your report. This app doesn't store your transcript, your audio or your video.
